If your radiators are cold at the bottom, slow to warm up, or your boiler is making banging and kettling noises, the likely culprit is sludge, a black iron oxide that builds up inside the system over the years. It settles in the radiators and the heat exchanger, blocks flow, and makes the whole system work harder and cost more to run.
A power flush pushes water and cleaning chemicals through the system at high flow to shift that sludge and clear the blockages. Done properly it brings cold radiators back to life, quietens a noisy boiler and improves efficiency. We finish by dosing the system with inhibitor and, where it helps, fitting a magnetic filter to catch debris before it settles again.
